The Greyhound Sanctuary
A small charity based in the West Country. Established in 2007 to rescue and rehome abandoned, abused or unwanted greyhounds. With the aim of rehoming greyhounds or, if that is not possible, somewhere for them to spend the rest of their lives in peace.
Walthamstow Owners and Welfare Association
The Walthamstow Owners and Welfare Association is run by a committee of volunteers who all passionately believe that each and every retired greyhound deserves a loving and secure life after racing.
Their main function is to provide the best care for the greyhounds after their racing career at Walthamstow Stadium has ended and to find the greyhounds the right family home so they can lead a happy and full life. Greyhounds make the perfect family pet and they want to promote this message far and wide.
Greyhound Muses
"Adopting just one Greyhound won't change the world, but the world will surely change for that one Greyhound."
GREYHOUND WALKS
Greyhound Walks are a group of greyhound and lurcher owners and lovers who regularly meet for an hours stroll, chatter and the sharing of doggy tales in and around Essex and Suffolk.
From 6 families who started it in April 2006 it now has nearly 200 at the last count in July 2008 and everyone involved adore their dogs.
If anyone is in the Essex or Suffolk area they are welcome to see what a great group Greyhound Walks has become and might like to join in.
Sighthounds Online
A registered charity that aims to offer 'a lifeline to sighthounds in need' and raise funds to help out needy causes, share information and experience of their particular breeds, and to raise awareness of the plight of racing greyhounds and other sighthounds.
