The room was very well presented and spacious; the bathroom was one of the nicest bathrooms we've seen in a b&b, service was excellent, Jenny was very friendly and our dog Chi Chi had a lovely time too. Everything was perfect, we would definately stay again.

Bliss
Great first impression, just like the web pictures. Good impressions continued throughout our stay. Really comfortable room and bed, lots of storage space and room. Bathrom large enough for another double bed and extremely clean. Owner very attentive/friendly, as a dog lover a great place to stay. Hope to go again.

South Lake District Stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay is too hand from a welcoming glass of sherry to a small fridge. The standard of bed/bathroom facilities are excellent. Also the local, the Derby Arms, is a mere 50 yds up the road and the standard of meals there was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent and the owner was also very friendly and welcoming. Good base for touring the South Lakes. Would definitely return.

What a little gem
We stayed at Beech Hill House fir one night on the way to 2 nights in a swanky 4 star hotel in Windermere, and honestly wished that we had stayed there for the full 3 nights. It is only a small place, but absolutely every detail has been thought of in the way of small touches to make it special, e.g. glass of sherry and a choc to welcome us, lots of toiletries, small fridge for drinks in room, books, games DVDs etc. The room was lovely with a fabulous bathroom (Room 3), and the hospitality excellent. We really felt comfortable and 'at home' there. The Derby Arms pub is 2 mins walk away, and it is a 'proper' pub with log fires, a range of excellent local beers, and truly scrumptious food. We will most definitely stay there again

We just wanted to say a very big thank you for helping to make our short stay in the Lakes so great.  Everything about your b and b is so welcoming (particularly for doggie people like ourselves) from the canine goody basket to the human one, everything is there to make a perfect stay.  Beautifully equipped bedroom with a great sitting out area and superb breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble. You thought of everything.   Rest assured we will be back

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beech Hill House. The owners are very friendly, accommodating, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The family room we stayed in is superbly appointed and kept extremely clean and tidy. The attention to the small details is impressive, probably the best we have seen, and really does make all the difference to the stay. The breakfast provided offered varied choices and the hot food was excellent. The house is right next to a local main road which gives quick and easy access to Windermere and beyond. Passing traffic could be heard but was not obtrusive to us. We really could not fault our stay here and would definitely return again sometime.
